No Cream Creamy Broccoli Soup. Uses rice to thicken. Good minus the separation issue. (click photo for recipe)

Sorry for the delay. Last and final of the season… Quinoa and Vegetable Soup. I added jalapenos and used diced tomatoes, instead of fresh. I drained the tomatoes and used the juice instead of a 1/2 cup of water. Go!

Hello strangers. Obviously I’ve been MIA. My bad.
Here’s the thing. I think the idea of documenting each step of the soup making process has scared me away from actually making any soups. So, a compromise. From here on out, I’ll give you the finished product. A parting shot. Or maybe, a photo of something funny that happens - like a flour mess. Or something pretty - like beautiful spices. But, honestly, don’t expect too much out of me. At least you’re getting something. K thanks.
1 year ago • 2 notesIt’s happened. I’ve lost my groove. Case in point - I made this soup 3 weeks ago. Time flies when you’re having fun. But, this is a special soup because it was my first with my emulsion blender. I’m in love.

Lots’o flour.

Next time, fresh not frozen.

Blend it baby.

1 year ago • 2 notesplaymixt asked: What is the difference between broth and stock ?
good question kev - sorry i’m just now seeing this! broth is simply liquid from chickens. stock has other spices in it. so essentially - you can use broth and add you own spices!
